Summer evening by the river & BBQ:  Friday 28 June 2013

You are warmly invited to join us for a bar-be-que by the Eden on Friday 28 June 2013 at 6 pm at Warwick Hall, Warwick-on-Eden, near Carlisle. Tickets are £10 each (children under 12 free) and can be obtained by contacting our office.  All proceeds go to Eden Rivers Trust and the Salmon and Trout Association. We look forward to meeting you there!

Crayfish surveying:  August to September 

We survey rivers in the Eden Valley for crayfish during August and September.  If you would like to help us with this survey we are running a free Crayfish Survey Training Day on Tuesday 30 July 2013.  To find out more details or book a place, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .  The dates for crayfish surveying this year are available here - please let Joanne know if you would like to come because sometimes they may have to be cancelled due to the weather or river conditions.  You can see our Get your feet wet page for more information.

Electro-fishing: July to October

Fit and able volunteers are always needed for our electro-fishing surveys.  Please see our Get your feet wet page for more details.

Invasives: June to September 

We are always looking for volunteers to help clear various invasive species along the Eden.  Organised events for 2013 are on Monday 1, 15 & 29 July and 12 August - for locations see here. If you are interested in helping us or wish to organise an event of your own, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .  

Wetland Discovery Trail
