Erosion 

Sediment from bankside erosion has a negative effect on the wildlife in the river. Ten of the rivers in the Eden catchment have over 15% of their length with severe erosion caused by livestock (identified from analysing aerial images). The Trust tackles bankside erosion with fencing projects.
